The AMBROSIA Restaurant & Terrace

Overlooking the tropical Gardens of the Hotel, the Ambrosia Restaurant offers the ideal setting

for a romantic semi-informal Wedding dinner. Several sections of the restaurant, either indoors or outdoors under the wooden canopy, can be reserved especially for the Wedding group for more privacy. A fantastic scenery for photos.

The BACCHUS BAR TERRACE

A romantic Champagne reception on the Bacchus Bar Terrace under the wooden canopy amongst the tropical gardens of Nissi Beach.  This favorite area is ideal for small groups of people but can also accommodate up to 100 people. A fantastic scenery for photos.

The ORPHEUS BAR

A cozy indoors bar for those who prefer to be in a more private and relaxed atmosphere.  This Bar can be exclusively reserved for a Champagne reception and can accommodate up to 80 people.

The ATHENA Ballroom

The ATHENA Room offers the ideal setting for a formal Wedding Reception and dinner party.  It is divisible into 3 adjoining chambers and can be used for a wedding Reception followed by a dinner party in the next room. It can accommodate up to 250 people.  One of the smaller rooms can be used for a Wedding dinner for up to 40 people.

RONDAVEL BEACH BAR / PELICAN BEACH BAR

Our popular Rondavel Beach Bar and Pelican Beach Bar offer the ultimate choice for a romantic, private venue on the Nissi Beach Front. These areas can be exclusively reserved for Wedding parties of 30-200 people and can be designed to offer a private Buffet or BBQ right by the ocean waves with live music or D.J. and dancing. A first come first served policy is applicable when booking our private beach venues. For a confirmed booking the required rental fee should be prepaid.

Olympic Lagoon hotel

The Olympic Lagoon Resort is a low-rise hotel in Grecian style, set in lush landscaped gardens creating an ambience of paradise. The newly renovated, magnificent hotel is just 100 metres from the golden sandy beach, and designed to appeal to discerning holidaymakers of all ages.

Indeed, the whole setting is enhanced with rich symbolism, mostly derived from ancient Greece. Aeneas Atlanica Hotel

The Ceremony

Wedding Ceremonies may either take place at our Hotel at our especially designed and decorated wedding hall, approved by Agia Napa Municipality, as per the relevant license given or at the Ayia Napa Town Hall, from Monday to Friday between 11:30 hrs and 13:30 hrs. Your exact wedding date and time can be arranged either by phone or during your visit to the registry, provided you allow for a minimum of 2-3 days between the first visit and your big day. The Ceremony itself is a short Civil Service conducted by the Ayia Napa Mayor or Vise Mayor, during which you are called upon to exchange your vows and then the rings. Wedding Church: In our constant efforts to provide the best possible five star services for our clientele wishing to have their fantasy Cyprus Island Wedding, we proudly announce to you the commencement of our new Anglican & Catholic Church that has recently been completed.

We have constructed our divine church on the grounds of our resort, in order to accommodate those who have dreamt of the ideal wedding in the most picture perfect settings.

The Atlantica Aeneas Church can conduct Catholic and Anglican weddings and may hold up to 120 guests. Beautifully designed with a celestially décor and our solid wood pews, providing the perfect surroundings for an unforgettable experience that will be able to be cherished for a lifetime

Grecian Sands hotel

The Grecian Sands is one of three hotels making up the Grecian Hotel Group, a family owned business with more than 30 years experience we have one of the best reputations in Cyprus for quality and service.

Religious Ceremony

The Grecian Sands Hotel has its own private, whitewashed chapel in the grounds, surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens. The Ayios Demetris chapel holds approx 26 people standing. However, the number of people attending the wedding ceremony has grown dramatically and as a direct result the church has recently approved church services in the hotel grounds. The number of religious ceremonies are restricted by the Church so it is very important to book well in advance. Although we own the Chapel we cannot book these ceremonies for you, this must be done through your tour operator or wedding planner.

The local Anglican Priest conducts the ceremony, and as at home, those wanting a religious wedding must have some link with their local Christian church. At least one of you must have been baptised and it is necessary to produce a copy of the baptism certificate. You will be asked by the Vicar to fill out an application form before you arrive in Cyprus, once here you will then have an interview. It is only after this interview that you will have your wedding confirmed, you can then go on to discuss a choice of passages as well as the wording of the ceremony. Music for all chapel weddings is chosen by the Reverend, the ceremony itself will take approximately 25 minutes.

Civil Ceremony

Civil weddings are conduced by a Marriage Officer appointed by the local town hall. The legal section of the ceremony takes approx 7 minutes, it is then followed by your exchange of vows and rings, once this is done you are declared husband and wife then go on to sign your certificate. Civil ceremonies can be held in any venue that has been licensed by the Mayor. At the Grecian Sands we have 2 civil wedding venues (soon to be 3).

Venus Suite

Our sparking Venus Suite is perfect for a dream wedding, located in a private area of the hotel, and decorated with white wedding finery, our fully air-conditioned suite can accommodate up to 60 guests seated. With an excellent in-house music system it is an ideal setting to exchange your vows to your very own 'our tune'.

Seaview Deck

For cooler times of the year we have our Seaview Deck. Boasting a dramatic Mediterranean view you can declare your love for each other under the clear blue sky.

How much does it all cost?

For all weddings the registration fee is € 281.92 (£ 165.00). For religious weddings the church fees are approx € 600.00 (£ 351.16) paid direct to the local priest. Civil weddings held at the hotel are an additional € 128.15 (£ 75.00) paid direct to the town hall along with your registration fee.

Our local Anglican Chaplain is available for qualified couples wishing to have an Anglican wedding in our chapel.
