I've not written much in on social media as our wedding was a bit of a secret back home. We wanted no fuss and a quiet affair, so we sloped off with 17 people who mean the most to us and got married at Chateau Moderne villa in Peyia.
The whole holiday, and especially the wedding day, was just perfect. I put all my trust in Kerry Barker to give us the day of our dreams and she certainly did. I wanted to ignore traditions and do my own thing which we did, whilst keeping a few traditional touches. There was no white dress, I did a speech (and a rap - the least said about that the better!). It was chilled, laid back and everything I had wanted.
Huge shout outs to the amazing teams that helped give us a perfect day. To Kerry and her handpicked team. She said she had picked suppliers to suit me and she certainly did. My hair and make-up looked great. I was nervous as I wear very little make up normally but everyone said it suited me so massive thanks to Koulla and Avgi who were lovely ladies that put me right at ease. I also loved my daisy themed bouquet and my cake was amazing. Lemon sponge with jam and buttercream filling. Yummers!
To our photographer Petros, you were awesome. We had such a laugh with Petros and he took tons of photos, humerous and serious, and took any requested photos from guests too. We had the open top bus trip and did a remembrance balloon release which was lovely. Petros was meant to have finished but met us to take photos of the balloon release before he left - so kind of him.
Kerry's catering team were great. We had a lovely BBQ and enjoyed the left overs for lunch the next day. There was tons of every course to go round and I had some very hungry guests.
Phil and the Bartender team were brilliant. Always going round the tables checking everyone had a drink. We had the deluxe package which was so reasonably priced, it was well worth doing. Drinks and cocktails were great and came with great fun and banter.
Finally, the star of our show was Tom Owen our DJ. He was absolutely fab. I had given him some of our favourite songs which he played and left the rest of the song choices to him. There were only 19 of us but he had everyone dancing! You would have thought there were loads more! He read his crowd perfectly. He also helped me out with my rap performance for my groom, by playing the music louder than I had it on my phone. And he finished the night in the classic Scottish wedding way by playing Loch Lomond by Runrig - we had to teach it to the English guests!
So, I think that is everyone mentioned. Apologies for the long post but I really needed to show appreciation to these guys. If you are looking for suppliers I highly recommend them all. Kerry Barker is an absolute star so if she is your planner you are in great hands. I am sure all the planners are great but am delighted we got Kerry.
Now enjoying our honeymoon at the Olympic Lagoon Resort - have a great day when it comes ladies.
Janice & Gregor, your Villa Chateau Moderne looks absolutely stunning! The modern design combined with the serene environment makes it a perfect getaway. It reminds me of an Argentine Asado I attended last summer. The blend of great architecture and delicious food created such an unforgettable experience. Hosting an Argentine Asado at your villa would be amazing – the open spaces and elegant setting are perfect for a gathering. The rich flavors of the asado, paired with good company in such a beautiful place, would make for an incredible evening. Kudos to you both for creating such a lovely space!
