The wedding story of Rosella & Jordan Young, 27st July 2026 Coral Residences wedding venue
How did you first meet?
Our love story began on 17 October 2013, at a University flat party in Leicester, just four days after Jordan's 20th birthday. Little did we know that what seemed like an ordinary night out would turn out to be the beginning of the rest of our lives.
As the months passed, our feelings for each other grew, and on 22 March 2014, Jordan planned a day in London that would become one of the most special memories of our relationship. He had thoughtfully chosen a Filipino restaurant, surprised me with a beautiful pair of pearl earrings, and as we walked across a bridge in London, Jordan asked me to be his girlfriend.

How did the proposal happen?
After almost 11 years together, Jordan planned the most beautiful proposal during our holiday to Sorrento, Italy. We have always shared a love of travelling and exploring the world together, so looking back, I couldn't imagine a more perfect place for him to ask me to be his wife.
That evening, Jordan told me to get dressed up for our first Michelin-star restaurant in Sorrento. Completely unaware of what he had planned, I got ready, thinking we were simply heading out for a romantic evening together.
As we walked along the beautiful coastline, with the Mediterranean Sea stretching out before us, Jordan led me to a breathtaking spot overlooking the water. And then, unexpectedly, he dropped down onto one knee. Of course, I said yes!

Why did you choose to get married in Cyprus, and what made you choose your venue?
Jordan and I have always shared a love of travelling, exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories together. So, when it came to choosing where to get married, we knew we wanted somewhere abroad. Somewhere neither of us had ever been before, and somewhere a little different from the ordinary.
When we first started looking at wedding venues abroad, we explored lots of different possibilities. However, the moment we discovered Coral Residences in Paphos, we completely fell in love. It was everything I had imagined our dream wedding to be, almost as though someone had taken the picture I had in my head and brought it to life.
I had always dreamed of getting married with the sea as our backdrop. There is something so effortlessly romantic about the endless blue water, the sound of the waves and the beauty of the Mediterranean coastline. However, I knew I didn't want a traditional beach wedding. I wanted something elegant and timeless, where we could exchange our vows overlooking the sea without actually being on the sand.
I also had a very particular vision for our wedding reception. I had always imagined sitting outside on a beautiful lawn, surrounded by our closest family and friends, enjoying dinner beneath a canopy of twinkling lights. I wanted it to feel intimate, romantic and almost magical, like something from a fairytale.
Coral Residences offered us absolutely everything we had dreamed of, all in one breathtaking location. The stunning sea views, the beautiful outdoor spaces, the greenery and the opportunity to celebrate beneath the stars made it feel as though the venue had been designed just for us.
What I loved most was how naturally beautiful everything was. It didn't need to be extravagant or overdecorated because the surroundings were already so breathtaking. The Mediterranean Sea provided the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony.

How far in advance did you book your wedding?
We officially booked our wedding in January 2025, approximately 18 months before our big day on 27 July 2026 As we were getting married abroad, we wanted to ensure our family and friends had enough notice to arrange their travel and accommodation so they could celebrate with us.

What made you choose Cyprus Dream Weddings to help plan your wedding?
When we first started planning our wedding in Cyprus, we quickly realised just how many wedding planning companies there were to choose from! As we had never visited Cyprus before, it was incredibly important to us that we found a company we could genuinely trust to bring our dream wedding to life.
We spent quite a bit of time researching different companies, reading reviews and sending enquiries to several wedding planners. Cyprus Dream Weddings immediately stood out to us, not only because of their fantastic reviews and recommendations, but because of how wonderful their communication was from the very beginning.
Their responses were always incredibly quick, detailed and reassuring. Every question we asked was answered thoroughly, and we never felt as though anything was too much trouble. Even during those initial enquiries, we could tell how knowledgeable, professional and genuinely passionate they were about creating beautiful weddings.
Another huge advantage was their incredible knowledge of local suppliers. From photographers and florists to entertainment, decorations and all the little details that make a wedding special, they had a wealth of trusted contacts and recommendations. It was so reassuring knowing that we didn't have to spend hours trying to find and coordinate everything ourselves, because they could help us with absolutely every aspect of the day.
I also found the Cyprus Dream Weddings Facebook community incredibly helpful. Being able to connect with other brides, read about their experiences, see photographs of their weddings and share ideas made the whole experience even more exciting. It was lovely to feel part of a community of couples who were all looking forward to their special day in Cyprus.

How many guests joined you in Paphos for your wedding? 34 family & friends
Tell us about your stunning dress, your shoes and accessories, and how long did it take you to find them?
I visited quite a few bridal boutiques and tried on lots of different dresses, hoping to find something that felt truly special. Although there were some beautiful gowns, none of them gave me that feeling I had always hoped for. That was until I visited Timeless Elegance in Cardiff and tried on a stunning gown by designer Trish Peng.
The moment I put it on, I just knew.
For the first time, I wasn't questioning whether I liked the dress or wondering if there might be something better out there. I looked in the mirror and felt absolutely amazing. It made me feel beautiful and confident.
For my shoes, I chose a pair from ASOS, which were perfect for completing my bridal look.
When it came to my jewellery, however, I wanted to wear pieces that were not only beautiful but also meaningful. I always knew that I wanted to wear my pearl earrings that Jordan gave me when he asked me to be his girlfriend on 22nd March 2014. To complement my earrings, I bought a delicate pearl bracelet from Lily & Roo.

Can you tell us about the finer details of the day, i.e. Wedding Cake, Hairdresser, Photographer etc.?
My hair was beautifully styled by Rachel McGann, while the wonderful Ana Raducanu did my bridal makeup. They both made me feel beautiful and confident, which is everything you could wish for on your wedding day!
We also had the incredibly talented Lia as our violinist, who added such a romantic and elegant touch to our celebrations. There is something so magical about live music, especially in such a breathtaking setting overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Our photographer and videographer, Petros, captured our special day so beautifully. Having those precious moments captured means we can relive all the emotions, happiness and memories for years to come.
Our beautiful wedding cake was arranged through Cyprus Dream Weddings, who made sure it fitted perfectly with the overall style of our wedding.
We also decided to book an ice cream cart, which was such a lovely addition! As we were getting married in the middle of July, we thought our guests might appreciate something refreshing to help them cool down in the Cyprus sunshine. It was a fun little touch that everyone could enjoy!
What was the highlight of your day?
I honestly don't think I could ever choose just one highlight from our wedding day, because every single moment was absolutely incredible. From the excitement of getting ready in the morning to walking down the aisle, exchanging our vows, celebrating with our loved ones and dancing the night away, the entire day felt like a dream that I never wanted to end.
However, if there was one moment that holds an especially precious place in my heart, it would have to be our first dance. Dancing together, in front of everyone we loved.

How did you find the planning experience, from booking to the big day itself?
Planning a wedding abroad could easily have been stressful, especially as we had never visited Cyprus before. However, from the moment we booked with Cyprus Dream Weddings in January 2025, the entire experience was so much easier and more enjoyable than we ever imagined.
When the wedding finally arrived, everything was even more beautiful than we had imagined. Seeing all our ideas come to life, from the breathtaking ceremony overlooking the sea to our romantic wedding dinner beneath the lights, was truly magical.
What advice would you give to future brides and grooms who are getting married abroad?
My biggest piece of advice would be to choose somewhere that truly feels special to you both and, most importantly, find a wedding planning company you can completely trust. Planning a wedding abroad might seem daunting at first, especially when you're organising everything from another country, but with the right people supporting you, it can be such an exciting and enjoyable experience.
I'd also recommend booking well in advance to give yourselves plenty of time to plan all the little details and allow your family and friends to arrange their travel.
Planning the Wedding
What was the most exciting part of planning your wedding?
The most exciting part was watching our dream wedding slowly come to life! From choosing our beautiful venue to deciding on the flowers, decorations and all the little details, it was so special seeing everything come together.
Were you nervous about planning a destination wedding?
Surprisingly, not really! Initially, the thought of organising a wedding in a country we had never visited seemed a little daunting, especially when we couldn't see everything in person. However, Cyprus Dream Weddings reassured us from the very beginning. Their professionalism, communication and attention to detail gave us complete confidence that everything was in safe hands.
How did our team help make the process easier?
Kasey, Lakis and the team were absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, every question was answered promptly, and their knowledge of local suppliers was invaluable. They listened carefully to our ideas, offered wonderful recommendations and took care of all the little details that we wouldn't have known where to begin with ourselves.
What was your favourite part of the planning journey?
My favourite part was imagining how everything would look on the day and gradually seeing our vision come together. I absolutely loved choosing all the romantic little details, particularly the flowers, table decorations and lights that would create the atmosphere I had always dreamed of.
Jordan and I also spent lots of time choosing our first dance song and choreographing our dance together, which became such a special memory.
The Wedding Day
How did you feel when you woke up on your wedding day?
Waking up on our wedding day was such a surreal feeling! After almost 13 years together and 18 months of planning, the day we had dreamed about for so long was finally here. I was filled with excitement, happiness and a few butterflies, knowing that in just a few hours I would be marrying my best friend.
There was something so magical about waking up in beautiful Cyprus, knowing that all our favourite people had travelled to be there and that we were about to create memories we would treasure forever.
What was the most memorable moment of the day?
It's almost impossible to choose just one because the entire day was absolutely incredible! However, our first dance will always hold an especially special place in our hearts.
We had spent so long choosing the perfect song and worked incredibly hard choreographing and practising our dance together. When the moment finally arrived, performing it in front of all our family and friends was such an unforgettable feeling.
What was your first reaction when you saw each other at the ceremony?
Seeing Jordan waiting for me at the end of the aisle, with the beautiful Mediterranean Sea behind him, was such an overwhelming and emotional moment.
We have been together since I was 19 years old, and suddenly, there we were, about to become husband and wife. In that moment, I couldn't help but think about how far we had come, from meeting at university and falling in love to building a life together and sharing so many wonderful adventures.
What was your favourite part of the ceremony or celebration?
I genuinely loved every single part of our wedding day, from our beautiful ceremony overlooking the sea to celebrating with our family and friends beneath the twinkling lights.
One of my favourite moments was our wedding dinner in the gardens of Coral Residences. Sitting outside on the grass, surrounded by the people we love most, beneath the beautiful lights as the evening began, was exactly what I had always imagined our wedding to be.
I also absolutely loved the evening celebrations, particularly our first dance. There was so much happiness, laughter and love throughout the entire day, and having everyone together in such a breathtaking setting made it even more special.
If we could go back and relive our wedding day a thousand times, we absolutely would. It was everything we had dreamed of and so much more.

After the Wedding
How would you describe your wedding day in three words?
Enchanting, unforgettable and timeless.

What advice would you give to other couples planning a destination wedding?
My biggest piece of advice would be don't make your wedding just one day, make it an entire experience! One of the most wonderful things about getting married abroad is the opportunity to create so many special memories with your family and friends, not just on your wedding day but throughout the whole trip.
Jordan and I decided early on that we wanted our wedding to feel like a holiday and a celebration all rolled into one. We spent a week in Paphos, staying in Coral Bay, followed by another five days in Ayia Napa. We planned our itinerary in advance and shared it with our family and friends, giving everyone the opportunity to join us for as much or as little as they wanted. There was absolutely no pressure, but it meant that those who could join us were able to share so many wonderful experiences together.
In Paphos, we booked a beautiful villa with some of our family, which made the days surrounding our wedding feel even more special. We also organised a welcome party at Kalua, where we hired the rooftop for an evening with our guests. It was such a lovely way to bring everyone together before the big day, allowing our family and friends to relax, celebrate and get to know each other.
After our wedding, we continued our celebrations in Ayia Napa, where we organised a boat trip towards the end of our holiday as a special thank you to everyone who had travelled all the way to Cyprus to celebrate with us. It was such a wonderful way to end an incredible trip and create even more memories together.
Looking back, I'm so glad we chose to celebrate this way. Instead of having just one incredible wedding day, we had almost two weeks filled with laughter, love, adventures and unforgettable moments with our favourite people.

What memories will stay with you forever from your Cyprus wedding?
There are honestly so many memories that I know we will treasure for the rest of our lives. From the moment we arrived in Cyprus to the final celebrations in Ayia Napa, the entire experience was everything we could have wished for.
I'll never forget walking down the aisle towards Jordan, with the beautiful Mediterranean Sea behind him, knowing that after almost 13 years together, we were finally becoming husband and wife. Wearing the same pearl earrings he had given me when he asked me to be his girlfriend back in 2014 made that moment even more meaningful. It felt as though a little piece of where our love story began was there with us as we started our next chapter.
Our first dance will also stay with me forever. We had spent so long choosing our song and choreographing our dance and finally performing it together in front of everyone we loved was such an incredibly romantic and special moment.

Would you recommend Cyprus Dream Weddings to other couples? Why?
Without a shadow of a doubt, a million times yes! Choosing Cyprus Dream Weddings was one of the best decisions we made, and we genuinely couldn't imagine having planned our special day with anyone else.
From our very first enquiry to the moment we said our vows, Kasey, Lakis and the entire team were absolutely incredible. Their communication was fantastic, their attention to detail was exceptional. They understood exactly what we envisioned for our wedding and somehow managed to make everything even more beautiful than we had imagined.
Planning a wedding abroad could easily have been stressful, but they made the entire experience feel effortless. Their knowledge of local suppliers, thoughtful recommendations and genuine care meant we always felt completely reassured that everything was in the best possible hands.
On the wedding day itself, everything ran so seamlessly that we didn't have to worry about a single thing. We could simply enjoy every precious moment with our family and friends, knowing that everything was being taken care of.
If you're dreaming of getting married in Cyprus, I honestly couldn't recommend Cyprus Dream Weddings enough. Trust them with your vision, because they really do make dreams come true!
